They’re calling it “NAFTA on steroids.” The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would be the largest international trade deal in history – with major economic and environmental consequences here in California – but the details have been veiled in total secrecy.

The buzz this week is about honey bees.

It's simply amazing. More than 950 Californians responded to our request for Letters to the Editor about the current threat to our federally-protected aquifers posed by underground waste injection wells. Protecting California’s limited groundwater is vitally important to all of us, so we expected a lot of letters – but we honestly never expected nearly 1,000 supporters would write in! It's incredibly gratifying and encouraging to see such a huge response!

In just a few hours, we're going to testify in Sacramento before a Joint Oversight Hearing on Ensuring Groundwater Protection. Californians have a right to clean drinking water, but our state government is permitting vast quantities of post-drilling waste fluids to be injected into our protected aquifers – it just doesn't add up.
